Blewett Tank Photos
Copywrited by me of course. If you want a better resolution image email me. I have a lot better (bigger) files. I probably have descendants of these fish for sale or eggs if you are interested.
1. 25 gallon slate tank made especially for Rams. Note the Rams (still alive) at the bottom left and top right. Community Nothos tank with excess males of N. patrizii, N. korthausae. This was a few years ago. Now I have Bolivian Rams in this tank.
2. Planted 20 gallon with laterite in the substrate and 130 W lighting. Took off the CO2 since it would grow to the surface every 2 weeks and I was too lazy to prune. Mostly killies retired from breeding or excess, N. foerschi, N. korthausae, N. palmqvisti plus Otos and Amano shrimp for maintenance. Ruby barbs for algae control. My wife took this tank to work and made it into an Asian Stream Paladium. I have 29 gallon Tanganykan tank in that spot with the same lights with Neolamprologus helianthus.
3. The most beautiful freshwater fish in the world, N. rachovi. These adults have passed on but I still have eggs from them due to hatch this summer (10 months incubation). he eggs hatched and I eventually lost that strain. I have N. rachovii Beira 98 right now.
4. The guppy of the Nothos genus, N. korthausae. Easy to keep and breed.
5. N. patrizii, another Notho that is easily kept and bred.
